This time we present you a prequel story. This is a bonus chapter included in volume 2, mostly just showing us Asuna's first day at the school. Originally we were going to publish this chapter first, but Hichikarah insisted on chapter 1 of the manga and novel first. So we figured it'd be best to do what Gquuuuuux did and give you the prequel lead in after getting you used to the status quo. This one took us a while because No More Cheese Dip had family visiting from out of town, and this chapter required immense redraws from him.
I wasn't fond of the picture where the chapter name appeared, because it wouldn't make for a good thumbnail on an embed. So the image here is an alternate cover Mikimoto painted for a limited edition reprint of volume 1 featuring an exclusive École du Ciel CD Rom.
